Welcome to MVP Academy

NMC revalidation

Revalidation Guidance

MVP Group Academy are proud to be a key support for our nurses during their revalidation. Whilst the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) have confirmed that it is the responsibility of the registered nurse to complete their revalidation, we can help you through the process and provide you with advice and support, should you require it.

To Revalidate you will need to have the following:

  1. 450 practice hours in the last 3 years.
  2. 5 feedbacks from nurses, managers or patients. 3 of them need to be latter signed by the person and the other 2 can be verbal / appraisal or verbal / verbal.
  3. 35 CPD hours (training) where 20 needs to be participatory and the other 15 can be individually achieved. Please note that mandatory training can only be used once every 3 years and mainly considered non-participatory.
  4. 5 reflective discussions of your practice/training experience , related back to the code.
  5. After completing  all of the above, please book an appointment with us. One of our nurses will review your work and ensure you`ve met the criteria for revalidation before signing you off.

Please note that written evidence of training and feedback will be required for your revalidation i.e- certificates, patient cards or written feedback.
